Fukuji Onsen
Fukuji Onsen is located one block away from the main road that runs through Okuhida and is the smallest of the hot spring villages in the area.
The town has a unified design with 11 inns lining the beautiful landscape. Many of the inns have a relaxed atmosphere, allowing you to enjoy some quiet time.
Legend has it that Emperor Murakami visited this hot spring for a medical treatment called "Toji," and the name Tenno Izumi (Emperor Spring) remains as a reminder of his visit.
At the hot spring resort is a morning market selling locally grown vegetables and processed agricultural products. A traditional folk house also contains a footbath facility that is available free of charge to staying guests.
